Melisa Ata graduated from Bilkent University in 2014 with distinction. In 2015, she started her master studies in International Business Law at Tilburg University with Jean Monnet Scholarship. She received her LL.M. degree with cum-laude after completion of her thesis titled, “The Necessity of Developing a New Corporate Governance Perspective in Light of the OECD Principles of Corporate Governance”.
Following her graduation from Tilburg University, she worked as a lawyer at the competition law department of a top tier law firm in Istanbul. Afterwards, in 2018, she founded MENTA Attorneys-at-Law.
At MENTA Attorneys-at-Law, Melisa Ata currently advises companies in a broad range of legal matters, drafts and negotiates corporate and commercial agreements and represents her clients before the courts and enforcement authorities. Her clients are predominantly operating in the automotive, construction and contracting sector. She also has extensive experience in advising start-up companies.
Her main focus area is corporate and commercial law and she is a sworn translator in English.
