Biography Articles

Dr. Kurşat is a professor at Istanbul University School of Law and is currently working as the Vice-Rector of the Turkish-German University.

 

He has been lecturing at Istanbul University since 2000. His lectures include “Contracts Law”, “Property Law”, “Law of Persons”, “Law of Succession”, ”Construction Law” and “Medical Law”. Furthermore, he gives lectures to postgraduate and Ph.D. students on various subjects such as “Construction Agreements” “Lease Agreements” and “Expropriation Law”. Dr. Kurşat’s publications include four books and several articles.

 

Dr. Kurşat was a visiting scholar at Albert Ludwigs University in Germany for one year; and American University Washington College of Law in the USA for another year.

 

Dr. Kurşat worked as an arbitrator of the Turkish Football Federation Dispute Resolution Board and he was the President of the Turkish Sailing Federation’s Disciplinary Board.

 

Dr. Kurşat advises clients on contract law, liability law, property law, consumer protection law, project financing, telecommunication law, data protection law, and construction law. He works as a legal expert at certain courts in the same fields.

 

Dr. Kurşat also acts as an ad hoc arbitrator in various cases.
