Nihan Yıldırım Esenkal received her LL.B. degree from Bahcesehir University with the full scholarship of the Department of Measuring, Selection and Placement Center of Republic of Turkey. She was also accepted for the American Culture and Language Program (ACLP) in California State University, San Bernardino for three semesters through the full scholarship of Bahcesehir University.
During her career, she has worked in legal and compliance departments of several global companies and international law firms. She has led foreigner investors and global clients in local and cross-border transactions, advised on corporate matters including intra-group restructuring projects, incorporation of entities or branches, capital increases, share transfers and various corporate actions under Turkish law. She has advised companies on day-to-day matters related to obligations, corporate law and advertising law matters; represented clients before public and private authorities; and provided intellectual property and compliance services. She has also supported clients on internal investigations to examine allegations of corporate criminal conduct and misconduct; and assisted companies to set proper data privacy/protection & compliance programs. She has been also qualified as a trademark attorney by the Turkish Patent Institute in 2013.
She has founded NYE Law & Consultancy in December 2017 to provide full legal services for its local and international clients practicing in different industries. NYE Law & Consultancy provides legal support to its clients including the corporate law (including new establishments), dispute resolution (for both civil and criminal issues), intellectual property law, advertising law, data protection law and regulatory or private law-based consultancy services.
