Ceylan Necipoğlu specialises in IT law including e-commerce, internet law, fintech, cryptocurrencies, and telecommunications law. She also has key expertise in data protection, cybersecurity and intellectual property matters. Ceylan advises large corporate and family businesses in the fields of consultancy management, technology, outsourcing, telecommunications, software and hardware supply, e-commerce, fintech, payment services, banking and insurance.
She assists clients in the establishment of their market strategies on complex ICT projects, the management of their intellectual property portfolios, and the drafting and negotiation of complex IT contracts, including outsourcing, licensing, procurement and service agreements. She also advises businesses on the assessment and strategic management of their privacy, security, electronic workplace, and e-business legal risks both domestically and globally.
Ceylan has earned the European Privacy Certification (CIPP/E) of the International Association of Privacy Protection (IAPP) and has a CISA certification pending. She has articles published in international academic journals on a wide array of subjects ranging from data privacy to internet regulation.
Ceylan is a graduate of İzmir American Collegiate and Koç University Law Faculty. She holds an LL.M. degree in Innovation, Technology and the Law from City, University of London. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at University of Tartu, Estonia. Ceylan fluents in Turkish, English and French.
