Bahadir is a partner at Sezgin & Erkan Attorneys at Law, a boutique law firm based in Istanbul. His practice is focused on all areas of commercial law with a particular emphasis on commercial litigation, international arbitration, and international business law. He successfully represented both international and local clients before Turkish courts and administrative authorities.
After graduating from the Faculty of Law at Bilkent University ranking 3rd among his class and completing his legal traineeship, Bahadır was admitted to the Ankara and Istanbul Bars. He completed his master’s degree at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with the Jean Monnet Scholarship granted by the European Commission. Upon completing his LL.M. studies with “distinction”, Bahadir has worked as a lawyer with one of Turkey’s leading law firm’s dispute resolution (litigation and arbitration) department. Bahadir is currently pursuing his PhD studies at KU Leuven on the effects of judgements related to arbitral awards on subsequent court proceedings.
