Prof. Paslı graduated from Istanbul University Law School in 1999 as the “Top Student” and obtained his master's degree, Ph.D., and professorship degrees from the same school. Besides his law practice, he has also been lecturing at the Istanbul University Law School since 2000. Prof. Paslı has been acting as an “expert witness” to ICC and Turkish courts for almost 20 years
He has key expertise in all types of commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, IP disputes, international arbitration, and enforcement of foreign awards in Turkey. Apart from his professorship in commercial law, Prof. Dr. Paslı has been actively working on cross-border M&A, joint venture, corporate restructuring projects, project finance, acquisition finance and structured finance transactions for over two decades. Ali Paslı is the author of four books on commercial law which have won several awards. Particularly, he is the author of the first book on “corporate governance”.
