Founded by a group of Turkish International Arbitration specialists seasoned in diverse jurisdictions, Alp Arbitration, a specialist legal consultancy that focuses on cross-border dispute management, opens its doors in Zurich, Switzerland.

 

The team is led by Alptuğ Tokeşer, LL.M., founding partner of Alp Arbitration. With a decade of experience in international commercial and investment arbitration, Tokeşer's repertoire boasts involvement in over 20 high-stakes arbitrations under various prestigious arbitration rules such as ICC, SCC, UNCITRAL, SAC and ISTAC.  Notably, he was involved in several gas pricing disputes of BOTAŞ, successfully represented Republic of Turkey in several investment treaty arbitrations, in addition to defending Romania in the second chapter of the infamous Micula saga of investment treaty arbitrations.

 

Tokeşer's decision to establish Alp Arbitration follows his illustrious stint at the GAR 30 firm, LALIVE. A notable highlight of Gürsel's career includes his representation of an international energy conglomerate in a multi-billion-dollar UNCITRAL arbitration concerning a cross-border pipeline dispute. With his expertise in areas such as energy, construction, and finance, Gürsel has been instrumental in securing favorable outcomes for his clients in complex disputes on the global stage.
