Gen Temizer Özer Strengthens its Team with the Appointment of Ömer Erdoğan as Partner
Gen & Temizer I Özer is delighted to announce that Ömer Erdoğan has joined the Firm as Partner. His joining reinforces the Firm’s capabilities particularly their expertise in the real estate, infrastructure and energy sectors as well as project finance.
Ömer has 18 years of experience advising multinational and local companies on their investments in Turkey and abroad.
His banking and finance expertise covers a wide range of transactions in Turkey. He has led teams acting for both lenders and sponsors on trade finance, project and acquisition financings, banking regulatory, security documentation, and secured loans and syndications.
Ömer’s broad experience also covers the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors, where he has represented local and international corporations with their projects both in and outside Turkey. In addition, he has significant real estate experience, having advised several multinational real estate development and hospitality companies on their complex residential and hotel development projects.
Throughout his career, Ömer has been recognised by the main international legal directories Chambers and Legal 500 as one of the leading lawyers in his field in Turkey. In the most recent editions, clients praised him as their "preferred contact in the jurisdiction – he is knowledgeable, available for comment and very quick’’ (Legal 500). He is further described by Chambers Europe as “friendly, knowledgeable and always quick to respond,” with another client adding: “It is always a pleasure to work with him".
Prior to joining Gen & Temizer I Özer, Ömer gained experience as a lawyer and partner at Turkish and international law firms.
