Aras Kargo Seeks Legal Counsel in Data Protection for Strategic Business Support

We are looking for a talented team member reporting to the Head of Legal, to be mainly responsible for data protection matters, along with supporting the business on daily legal matters.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Law degree
• 3+ years experience in corporate law firms and/or as in-house counsel
• Great organizational skills and awareness to escalate matters when necessary
• Excellent command of written and verbal English
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain legal requirements clearly and simply
• A strong work ethic and integrity

You will play a proactive and major role in;

• Be a data protection expert and be a key advisor on strategic and transformation projects for the business
• Review and mitigate data protection risks, help resolve internal and external data protection requests and issues
• Draft, review, and negotiate business and data protection contracts
• Develop templates, policies, processes, and guidelines for compliance with data protection regulations
• Daily interaction with business partners, internal data protection contacts, outside counsels and technology team
• Prepare legal opinions in regulatory matters
• Proactively identify regulatory and legal developments related to the business
