We are looking for a talented team member reporting to the Head of Legal, to be mainly responsible for data protection matters, along with supporting the business on daily legal matters.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Law degree
- 3+ years experience in corporate law firms and/or as in-house counsel
- Great organizational skills and awareness to escalate matters when necessary
- Excellent command of written and verbal English
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain legal requirements clearly and simply
- A strong work ethic and integrity
You will play a proactive and major role in;
- Be a data protection expert and be a key advisor on strategic and transformation projects for the business
- Review and mitigate data protection risks, help resolve internal and external data protection requests and issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate business and data protection contracts
- Develop templates, policies, processes, and guidelines for compliance with data protection regulations
- Daily interaction with business partners, internal data protection contacts, outside counsels and technology team
- Prepare legal opinions in regulatory matters
- Proactively identify regulatory and legal developments related to the business
