iyzico Expanding its Legal Team with a Lawyer

iyzico is now looking to recruit a lawyer to its legal team based(hybrid) in Istanbul.

Through iyzico Buyer Protection, consumers’ concerns regarding shopping online are resolved and better experiences are enabled. Responsibilities

• Give accurate and timely advises to Head of Legal in a variety of legal topics
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on possible legal issues
• Help the management of the litigation processes of the company
• Attend hearings and arbitration proceedingJoin the negotiation of agreements
• Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
• Keep up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contributing to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company's legal function
• Write memorandums in English language regarding current legal issues, amendments in legislation etc.

Qualifications

• BSc degree in Law
• Relevant work + 1 year's experience (excluding the internship period) in law firm or in-house in an international company
• Efficient knowledge on payment services, e-commerce, contracts, IP, data privacy, and IT law
• Experience on litigation would be a plus
• Arbitration and mediation skills
• Good organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
• Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation
• Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
• Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
• Outstanding communication skills both in Turkish and English
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
