We are looking for associates with 1-3 years of post-graduate experience to be in our competition law & compliance team. This role requires relevant competition and compliance experience.
Main responsibilities
- Providing pragmatic legal advice, preparing legal memoranda and analysing and resolving legal issues that arise in the day-to-day operations of our international and domestic clients
- Review and provide legal advice on various legal documents
- Assessing and calculating risks in competition law matters with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Representing clients within the Turkish Competition Authority investigations / preliminary investigations. Preparing defences and relevant documents, attending oral hearings
- Preparing and submitting merger control filings, preparing response petitions to the information requests of the Turkish Competition Authority
- Conducting compliance programs, electronic reviews, and competition law trainings to ensure compliance of the clients with competition law procedures, policies and sanctions, developing necessary plans and actions to meet compliance objectives for the local market
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Law degree from a faculty of law in Turkey. An LL.M. Degree in competition law, law and economics or a similar field will be a plus
- 1-3 years of post-graduate competition and compliance experience in a law firm or as an in-house lawyer in an equivalent organisation
- Knowledge and experience in competition law and compliance related matters
- Fluency in English
- Ability to communicate effectively with the team, clients and all the necessary audiences
