We are looking for a Lawyer (Non-EU Operations) to take part in Şişecam Headquarters – Legal Department in Tuzla / Istanbul. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law required, LL.M would be an asset
- 2-5 years of legal experience in a top tier national or international law firm or a multinational corporate environment with a special focus on domestic and overseas investment projects; more particularly M&As.
- Self-starter, highly analytical, investigative, detail-oriented, and able to multitask; have a “can do” attitude with the ability and eagerness to go above and beyond the scope.
- Strong communication skills and good interpersonal relations, including in interactions with senior members of the organization, in order to develop and manage key internal business relationships and communicate clearly and accurately
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Project management and leadership skills
- Strong research and drafting skills in respect of legal documents
- Solid skills using MS office tools
- Experience in Project Finance would be an asset.
Job Description
- Managing and coordinating legal processes of Şişecam Group Companies operating in non-EU territories; drafting company corporate documents and managing all corporate law processes of such.
- Managing all domestic and overseas investment projects, including M&As.
- Ensuring that all legal works in non-EU operations including contract management, compliance, conflict management and corporate issues are carried out in accordance with Şişecam Group standards.
- Managing all agreements that fall within the scope, including SPAs, SHAs, JV Agreements and others in similar nature.
- Periodically reporting to Legal Manager responsible for non-EU operations and global investments,
- Be the trustworthy legal business partner for Şişecam’s non-EU operations, become their primary point of contact for the purpose of coordination and necessary communication with Şişecam HQ Legal Team in all legal matters,
- Bringing in quality legal guidance to proactively address possible legal complications and support the business units in all aspects of their works,
- Coordinating and managing the law firms in the non-EU territories.
