Sinem is a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Law and enrolled to Istanbul Bar. Sinem’s core practice areas are corporate advisory, M&A, technology & IT, IP, data privacy, media & entertainment, and competition.
Sinem represents various Turkish and foreign clients from varied sectors such as software, technology, investment, media and entertainment, music, publishing, exhibition, food and beverage and tourism. She acts as the legal counsel of many projects in the fields of IP and Software and advises Turkish and foreign software companies in developing their intellectual property strategies and all kinds of software, cloud computing, outsourcing, distributor, and reseller agreements.
She is adept at dealing with complex IP due diligence and acquisition processes, as well as advising the clients in their needs related to Corporate Law, corporate governance of legal entities and through their disputes. She has unique experience in the establishment stages of e-commerce and web projects and provides legal support to producers and rights holders in multinational co-production projects and domestic projects in the entertainment business.
Being an expert in the most active areas of law, besides advising sizeable and landmark institutions, she also actively supports the start-ups in their establishment and fund raise phases. Prior to joining Tahan – Cem Attorney Partnership, she worked as a partner in a well-recognized boutique law firm in Istanbul.
