Gökçe was graduated from İstanbul University Faculty of Law in 2002 and completed her master’s degree in Law of Economics at İstanbul Bilgi University. Following her graduation, she worked for almost 17 years in various sectors as an in-house legal counsel and legal and compliance affairs manager. She acted as Legal Counsel at Turkcell, as a Senior Legal Advisor at CarrefourSA, followed by the role of Legal and Compliance Director at Marsh & McLennan Turkey. She worked as General Counsel for Deloitte Turkey where she also served as Data Protection Officer (DPO). During Gökçe’s tenure as an in-house lawyer, she served as Turkey’s Country representative for ACC Europe Chapter (Association of Corporate Counsel) for three years. She was an instructor at the Compliance Management Academy of the Ethics and Reputation Society (TEİD). With over 20 years of experience, Gökçe is now advising retail, technology and telecoms clients with her expertise in commercial law, privacy, marketing & advertising law and compliance.
