“a.tr” Yapısındaki Alan Adlarının Tahsisi

Ülkemizde tahsisi halihazırda gerçekleştirilmekte olan “com.tr”, “org.tr” gibi alan adlarına ek olarak, “a.tr” yapısındaki alan adlarının da tahsisi de 14 Eylül 2023 tarihinden itibaren mümkün hale gelmiştir. “a.tr” yapısındaki alan adları, “.com”, “.net”, “.org” gibi uzantıları içermeyip doğrudan “.tr” ülke kodu uzantısına sahip alan adlarıdır.

Allocation of Domain Names in Structure of “a.tr”

In addition to domain names such as "com.tr" and "org.tr", which are already being allocated in Türkiye, allocation of domain names in the structure of "a.tr" has also become possible as of September 14, 2023. Domain names in the structure of “a.tr” do not include extensions such as ".com", ".net", ".org", etc. but have a direct country code extension of ".tr".

Turkish Court of Cassation Rules in CERAN v CERAMO Case

In a recent case, the General Assembly of Civil Chambers of the Turkish Court of Cassation ruled that although the defendant argued that the earlier trade mark CERAN originates from the word “ceramic”, this is not the case and CERAN functions as a trade mark for Turkish consumers.
