Selen Aksakal practices in the field of intellectual property rights and advises well-known brands within the scope of intellectual property disputes and litigation processes, especially in matters related to trademarks, unfair competition, copyrights, and designs.
Selen is actively involved in filing oppositions before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, gathering evidence of proof of use, drafting cease and desist letters, and assisting in negotiations for consent, coexistence, or ownership arrangements. She also manages negotiations for clients and lawsuits before the courts to protect clients’ intellectual property portfolios. Additionally, she offers legal support to clients in patent litigation procedures.
Selen provides support to a wide array of domestic and international companies, with a particular focus on the technology, food and beverage, fashion, and automotive sectors. Furthermore, she assists clients in preventing counterfeit goods from entering Türkiye by managing seizure proceedings and handling criminal lawsuits, including cases that result in raids and seizures.
