The Regulation Amending the Regulation on Real Estate Trade Has Been Published
With the Regulation Amending the Regulation on Real Estate Trade (“Amendment”), published in the Official Gazette dated 30.05.2025 and numbered 32915, new regulations have been introduced with the aim of establishing a fair, competitive, and stable market structure in the real estate sector, preventing exorbitant and manipulative price increases, and protecting consumers from potential grievances.
With the Amendment, it has been stipulated that price increases in real estate listings published online that are not aligned with general economic data and lack a justified reason shall not be permitted, and that businesses shall not be allowed to mediate such listings. Accordingly, real estate listings published on the internet have been brought directly under supervision within the scope of the Regulation.
With this regulation, not only real estate businesses but also the owners of the properties subject to such listings may now face administrative sanctions.
The Amendment entered into force on its publication date, May 30, 2025.
