16.09.2025

The Communiqué on Amending the Communiqué on the Implementation Principles and Procedures of the Local Development Initiative Program (“Amending Communiqué”) was published in the Official Gazette dated 12.09.2025 and numbered 32951. With this Communiqué, paragraph 4 of Article 4 of the Communiqué on the Implementation Principles and Procedures of the Local Development Initiative Program has been repealed.

Before the amendment, within the scope of the Local Development Initiative Program, not only entirely new investments but also capacity expansion projects of existing investments that met certain conditions could be supported. In this context, it was possible for capacity expansion investments that increased existing production capacity by at least 75% and registered employment by at least 50% to apply to the program and receive support.

With the Amending Communiqué, this possibility has been completely removed, and capacity expansion investments are no longer eligible for support.

Detailed information on the Communiqué on the Implementation Principles and Procedures of the Local Development Initiative Program was provided in our information note dated 14.08.2025.

Effective Date

This Communiqué, whose provisions are enforced by the Minister of Industry and Trade, entered into force on the date of its publication, 12.09.2025, and no transition period has been envisaged.
