Mehmet Eren Temiz is a passionate and curious senior law student at Çağ University. During his term of undergraduate, he attended numerous webinars and was involved in many activities to gain experience in different areas of law. He’s also had experience in researching and writing, with articles published in several journals and short articles prepared to increase legal literacy. Most recently, his article, which won first place in a competition on freedom of expression, was published in the Mersin Bar Association Journal. Besides, he attended several limited-participant programs following Human Rights Law Summer School at Bilgi University, Summer Research Program regarding the legal effects of European Green Deal at Koç University, the online internship experience of Turkish Competition Authority, and online IP School of Kenaroğlu Law Firm on Intellectual Property Law.
Eren is interested in the intersection of digitalization with core issues of law, for instance, human rights, freedom of expression, intellectual property, and ethics. In his last year of faculty, he has been working on Data, Artificial Intelligence, and IT Law and carefully follows the new regulations of the European Union in this area. He’s been attending the LL.M. courses of Leyla Keser, the first professor of IT Law in Turkey, and is willing to continue his academic career in these fields of law.
