Are you curious to know what an inhouse legal & compliance department in a multinational pharmaceutical company looks like? Are you ready to bring your enthusiasm and legal expertise into daily business? Then this challenge is for you!
We are looking for a talented and motivated student to join our regional Legal & Compliance department located in Amsterdam, where we support the activities for 8 European countries.
During this internship you will gather hands-on experience and live a true international experience in a dynamic industry.
The internship will run for at least six months, starting in October 2023. For the entire duration of the internship, you have to be enrolled in a university.

What you will learn
- Support contracting in 8 different jurisdictions, for service and other business agreements
- Support legal consultancy on pharmaceutical law questions for medicine for humans and animal health, data privacy and business law
- Support in Compliance activities like risk assessments, monitoring, creation of regulations, awareness, training etc.
- Use of digital and innovation within an inhouse Legal and Compliance department
- Interacting with various countries and stakeholders (including the BI Global Legal Team all over the world)
- Set clear learning goals to get the most out of your internship.
What you should bring to the team
- Bachelor or Master student in the field of Law, preferably with focus/interest on business law, European law, or privacy
- Previous relevant internship experience in Europe is a plus
- Legal Design Mindset
- Good understanding of AI tools and systems
- Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent command of the English language
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm, curiosity, and proactive attitude
- Open for challenges and new experiences
- Strong focus on solutions and results-oriented execution
- Willingness to work in a multicultural environment
Please note that you must be enrolled as a Master or Bachelor student (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university) during the full period of your internship to be considered as a candidate.
