Bilgesu Demirel graduated from Galatasaray University and studied in Université d’Orléans for one semester as Erasmus student. She has joined Özay Law Firm team after working at the legal department of an international retail company. She has started her IT Law studies in London School of Economics and continued her LLM in İstanbul Bilgi University IT Law Institute.
Bilgesu Demirel who specialized in the field of IT Law, mainly, the protection of personal data and e-commerce manages projects of compliance with personal data protection legislation and the projects in the field of IT law, in line with the clients’ needs. IT law projects are mainly focused on e-commerce and data protection compliance projects, cybercrime litigation process and trainings on Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies and Smart Contracts.
She used to work in litigation and consultancy in fields of Labor Law and Rental Law in addition to IT Law. She is registered with the mediators’ registry.
She also continues her academic studies in the field of IT Law, gives courses at Üsküdar University on IT Law and E-Government as an academic member.
Bilgesu Demirel who found the opportunity to work with several clients in the retail sector is also actively engaged in the Personal Data Protection Board commission that was established under the organization of the Shopping Malls and Retailers Federation of Turkey.
Apart from these, Bilgesu provides IT Law trainings to our clients, customized according to industry-specific needs, leads several Data Protection Committees and works as an external Data Protection Officer.
