The Position

Based in Istanbul, Turkey, and reporting to the General Manager Türkiye and Head of MC Central Asia and Caucasia, you will be a key member of the Turkey Leadership Team. Beyond your area of responsibilities; you will be jointly accountable for the affiliate transformation, fostering an environment that promotes trust, transparency, and patient centricity that inspires and motivates teams to develop and adapt to a fast-changing market. The Head of Compliance supports all compliance and business audit activities across the affiliate and management center.

◼ As a visionary, connect the enterprise vision to people within the affiliate

◼ As an architect, formulate a strategy to reach our enterprise ambition and ensure affiliate architecture would be enabling factors to achieve those outcomes

Accountabilities

◼ Oversee and improve the effectiveness of the compliance program and foster a culture of integrity and ethical business practices, consistent with the Roche values and external requirements

◼ Provide compliance leadership and coaching to Roche Diagnostics Türkiye and MC Central Asia and Caucasia in their business activities, in close collaboration with local Compliance Officers and Healthcare Compliance Contacts

◼ Enable affiliates to continuously improve their integrity mindset and patient-centric focus

◼ Ensure compliance oversight and leadership and foster continuous improvement of the compliance program. Drive compliance training and education of the organization by identifying gaps or issues within the organization, engaging with the relevant individuals, developing, customizing and delivering the training materials and arranging and supporting delivery of specialist training to the organization as required

◼ Support the development of compliance professionals across the affiliate and the management center

◼ Anticipate business needs, provide business-enabling advice and shape opportunities

◼ Support the implementation of global policies and directives, regional initiatives and support local SOP/process development, striving for simplification

◼ Advise the leadership team and other teams regarding compliance obligations, risks, proactive risk management strategies, actual or potential compliance-related issues, investigation and resolution of issues, as well as corrective actions

◼ Work collaboratively with the leadership team and perpetuate a “tone at the top” and “throughout the organization” that reflects the company’s commitment to ethical and legal business conduct as well as compliance with the letter and spirit of the law and global policies

◼ To support the organizational audit process by identifying key areas of risk, implementing appropriate corrective action, engaging with the relevant stakeholders and participating in the audit review process as required

◼ Chair relevant compliance committees to oversee trends and insights across the sub-region and region and share best practices


Qualifications/Skills

◼ University degree or equivalent competency level, preferably legal background

◼ Excellent communication and writing skills

◼ Ability to precisely articulate and differentiate, express appropriately

◼ Fluency in written and spoken English

◼ Excellent presentation skills

◼ Identify and manage complexity through the ability to quickly understand and analyze facts and situations

◼ Strong influencing skills

◼ High ethical and integrity standards


Experience

◼ Profound expertise in compliance management, ideally as a responsible Compliance Officer

◼ Solid business experience, ideally in an affiliate

◼ Solid experience in change management and managing complex projects

◼ Solid experience in leading people
