Legal & Compliance Manager

Requirements for the successful candidate are:

— University degree from a reputable Law Faculty

— Minimum 8-13 years of experience in other companies legal departments with a particular focus on the legal stages of the compliance processes or as a lawyer in one of the reputable law firms

— Specific knowledge and experience in Capital Market, Competition, KVKK, and expertise in GDPR would be valuable,

— Diligence in legal processes and skill in interpreting potential risks with a proactive approach

— Advanced people and engagement skills

— Customer focus in interdepartmental communications

— Motivated to develop new skills,

— Fluency in oral and written English,

— Strong communication, effective time-management, negotiation, and representing skills,

— Good at analytical thinking, multi-functional, and teamwork,

— Capable of multitasking, ability to manage stress and strict deadlines,

— Sound legal reasoning, thoroughness, excellent legal writing skills,

— Excellent research and follow-up abilities.

 

The essential duties of the successful candidate are:

— In the role Legal and Compliance Manager, contributing to the development of compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and controls and the regional implementations thereof,

— Building collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across relevant functions to identify compliance priorities and to take action to prevent, detect and respond to non-compliance incidents,

— Advising on supportive compliance policies related to Mavi's code of ethics and corporate compliance, including acting as an expert on the topic and delivering training to the senior executives, employees, and relevant business partners,

— Conducting, coordinating, and overseeing the Ethics Line process and adhering to policies/protocols

— Contributing to the development and implementation of compliance strategies, policies, procedures, and controls on matters within his/her purview,

— Participating in activities to identify compliance risks, and informing the company’s senior management about such risks,

— Ensuring the compliance of the procedural practices of the departments and units with applicable laws and regulations and the Company policies and procedures, expressing his/her opinion regarding legal and compliance risks,

— Following compliance processes of the company and its subsidiaries with the personal data protection legislation (GDPR and KVKK), directly or through third-party consultants,

— Following compliance processes of the company and its subsidiaries with the competition law

— Following CMB-related topics,

— Supporting the Company's efforts to ensure compliance with the applicable laws and regulations, internal policies and procedures, best corporate governance practices, and ethical principles, entering the reported incidents into the Central Incidence Recording System with authority defined in line with the Compliance Policy and the Whistleblowing Procedure, following them through, conducting the investigations/reviews, and concluding the reported incident.
