Mid-Level Associate – Construction, Arbitration and IT Focus
Tahan | Cem is seeking a highly motivated associate with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience to join our growing practice.
We welcome candidates who have solid experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Construction law (particularly contract drafting and claims management)
- International arbitration (including institutional proceedings such as ICC, LCIA or ICSID)
- Technology & IT law (with a focus on cross-border advisory and commercial contracts)
Key Responsibilities
- Advise domestic and international clients on complex projects, disputes and commercial transactions
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including construction agreements (e.g. FIDIC), arbitration-related documentation, and IT contracts such as software development and licensing agreements
- Support clients throughout arbitration and litigation processes, including strategy development and procedural management
- Actively participate in client meetings and contribute to matter planning, documentation and communication
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups on multi-jurisdictional mandates
- Contribute to the firm’s legal know-how, training sessions and thought leadership initiatives
Candidate Profile
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Confident and proactive communicator, comfortable engaging directly with clients
- Strong legal reasoning, drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience working in international or cross-border contexts
- Willingness to travel, primarily for international work and hearings, when required
- Genuine interest in building a long-term career within an internationally-oriented legal practice
