Hazar Başar is a senior associate in the Competition and Antitrust practice area of Hergüner Bilgen Üçer.
Mr. Başar is responsible for administering merger and acquisition notifications for approval along with individual exemption and negative clearance applications before the Turkish Competition Authority. He also provides advice on legal matters related to competition law and economics and represents clients in antitrust litigation procedures. Mr. Başar also provides legal assistance with respect to regulatory compliance matters particularly focusing on energy and e-commerce sector. He also assists our clients by leading internal investigations with a particular focus on white-collar crimes and provides legal advice on sanctions and export control issues.
Before joining Hergüner, Mr. Başar worked in some of the most prominent law firms specializing in competition law and regulation in Turkey.
