Associate Nil Duman is a member of the corporate team and active in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, insurance and foreign investments and has been particularly involved in due diligence projects, corporate restructurings and contractual reviews in relation to share and asset transactions. Nil is also experienced in assisting clients with respect to contractual, commercial, corporate and regulatory matters in the scope of their operations in Turkey as of early 2019, the start of her internship at Özdirekcan Dündar Şenocak Ak.

She regularly advises Turkish and international clients in sectors such as industry, banking and insurance.

Nil graduated from Koç University Law School in 2019 and was admitted to the Istanbul Bar Association in 2020.

A Circular of the General Directorate of Domestic Trade on Minimum Share Capital Amounts Has Been Published

According to Articles 332 and 580 of the TCC, the minimum share capital amounts of joint stock and limited companies can be increased by Presidential decree. The minimum initial share capital amounts have recently been increased through Presidential Decree No 7887 (the "Decree") published in the Official Gazette dated 25 November 2023 and numbered 32380.

Monetary Limits and Administrative Fines for Consumer Arbitration Committee Applications for 2024 Announced

Pursuant to the Communiqué on Raising the Monetary Limits Set Out in Article 68 of Law No 6502 on the Protection of Consumers and Article 6 of the Consumer Arbitration Committee Regulation, published in the Official Gazette No. 32405 dated 20 December 2023, the monetary limits that require an application to consumer arbitration committees was increased by 58.46%, which was determined as the revaluation rate for 2023.
